Crystal Springs Farm
Crystal Springs Farm, located in Hillsboro, Wisconsin is "a family operated business located on a fertile farm in the hills of southwest Wisconsin. We have been blessed with the privilege of raising most of our own food and learning to work with herbs (both wildcrafted and garden raised)." "The soils in our area are mineral rich and the vegetation grows lush. Even the wild deer's antlers grow large and heavy, indicating a diet rich in minerals."
The Sam Bontrager family (Samuel, Elsie, Mark, Ruth Ann, Rosina, Michael, and Jonathon) will be supplying us with maple syrup, napa cabbage, kohlrabi, red beets, morel mushrooms, and fresh chicken. They also forage for morel mushrooms, and will be supplying tinctures (herbal extracts) that will be available for sale online in a short time.
"We have farmed organically since 1993. Our water supply is from three seprate springs. We are off the beaten path since we are located 1/4 mile off the road at the back end of our valley. The farm animals, wild animals, and birds are our friends and entertainers."
