Schaefer's Orchard Run
Schaefer’s Orchard Run is a small family apple orchard that is owned and operated by Ron and Joan Schaefer. We are located in Chippewa Falls Wisconsin about 80 miles east of the twin cities. Our orchard has been certified organic since 2002. Our orchard is one of two certified organic orchards in Wisconsin
About half of our orchard is young trees and was planted in the last 12 years in semi-dwarf trees. The other half of the orchard was planted about 25 years old with standard size trees. We have several varieties of apples including Honeycrisp, Cortlands, Connell Reds, MacIntosh, Wealthy’s and Haralsons. We expect to plant 3-4 newer varieties next spring.
While growing organically has its challenges, we love what we do. We are excited about providing the local community and the customers of Simply Wisconsin with our fruit and hope it is enjoyed as much as we enjoy growing it.
