Happy Farm
Happy Farm, located in Hillsboro, Wisconsin was established in the spring of 2003. It consists of approximately 6 farmed acres, and is worked by Edna Herschberger.
Edna grows carrots, beets, and onions. "These three are my main crops, but I also have some garlic and strawberries, and grow green beans and dill for seed.
My small farmette is located near the town of Hillsboro. I enjoy working outdoors, gardening and growing produce. My animals are also a joy to me. I have a horse, two goats, a cat and a dog, and several bantams. I enjoy raising my own pullets from babies to full grown, and have a flock of close to 300 laying hens and sell the eggs. We use horses to prepare the soil for planting, and the weeding is done by hand or the horse-drawn cultivator."
